WJSS Weekend Quote: Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela turned 94 this week.  Happy Birthday, Mr. Mandela! There are very few people in this world who give me goosebumps, and a lump in my throat when  I see them and hear them speak their truth to power-- and I'm talking on a television set, even, since I've never seen him in person.  Nelson Mandela is one of those people.  I remember apartheid, the rising of the anti-apartheid revolution in South Africa, and the sweet day in history that Nelson Mandela was freed, and then became President of South Africa. Here is a quote of Mr. Mandela's meant to inspire:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?”

And, while we no longer have to sing the Special AKA's song, Free Nelson Mandela, it's a great Friday dance song.  Enjoy!
