Her blog on cross-racial connection, and unlearning whiteness, (2012-2023), is here under the WJSS (Wendy Jane’s Soul Shake) Archive button. Wendy is the mother of two amazing, young adult daughters. She lives in Providence, Rhode Island with her cat, Belle.
In her work that straddles the worlds of art and health, Wendy has over 25 years of experience facilitating, developing and administering arts programming with people in communities historically underrepresented, including unhoused adults, people in recovery from addiction, people participating in inpatient and outpatient mental health care, elder adults, youth, members of the LGBTQ community, persons with disabilities, and neurodivergent individuals.
Wendy was a member of the Rhode Island Arts and Health Advisory Group, a partnership between the RI Department of Health and the RI State Council on the Arts, which developed the country’s first State Arts and Health Plan.
