Welcome to my blog, Wendy Jane's Soul Shake

Welcome!  Wendy Jane's Soul Shake deals with my humorous obsession with race, in particular, my desire to connect with black people. My About page gives you some background on what this blog is all about.I hope that through these posts, I can reflect, share and connect with all of you who visit here. So, whether you are a black person that thinks it's cool, or even weird, that I like black people so much, or a white person that also likes black people a lot, or any combination of any race, ethnicity or gender that also likes black people a lot, I look forward to starting a dialog, to hearing your comments, and to building a community where we unite across color lines, Soul Shake style.I'd like to thank the many people who have helped and supported me in my writing, and in the creation of my blog: Susan Hradil, Ellen Taylor, Mary K Connor, Wanda Rickerby, Myrna Griffith, Marie Esposito (my writing group friends), Aaron Kent Warder for the amazing logo, Atinuke Diver of Yes We're Together , for her advice,  Amy Marcott for blog tech-set up and consultation, Hollis Gillespie and Michael Alvear for their most awesome Atlanta's Famous Blogging Workshop, Dan Blank for his great on-line blogging workshop via Writer's Digest, friends, Anisa Raoof, Cathy Carr Kelly, Marci Rosenthal,  Eric Ward, Andrea Sparkman, Denise Necie White, Jay Seay, and Eric Jerome Dickey, for their encouragement, and my family, especially my two daughters, Darla and Leni for their love and support.
