Aaliyah Dana Haughton (January 16, 1979 - August 25, 2001)

Remembering R & B singer, actress, Aaliyah, on this day, the 11th anniversary of her passing.

 At such a young age, she had already shown us her tremendous talents, and had accomplished so much.  I didn't know, though, that to this day, she is listed by Billboard as the tenth most successful female R&B artist of the past 25 years, and 27th most successful R&B artist overall.

Oh, what she could have gone on to do.

This video, Rock The Boat, filmed in the Bahamas, was her last.  Aaliyah and eight other members of her video production crew were killed on the return flight from the Bahamas.

Rest In Peace, Aaliyah.
